It's curious how much we trust adults when we're little. Each rule is a detailed map of how to live, each instruction an internal GPS that guides us: "turn right," "don't go that way." Until the day we question and deviate from these suggested routes.
You know that feeling when you walk into a new coffee shop and feel a bit awkward, not quite sure where to sit? That's pretty much how I feel right now, inaugurating this space. There's that desire to choose the perfect table, to have an elaborate order ready on the tip of your tongue, to look like you've always belonged there.
